The Art of Happiness and Suffering

Cultivating happiness and taking good care of our suffering is an art. We all experience difficulties in our lives in the form of loss. We can get sick, develop a disability, lose our jobs, get divorced; we lose our parents or other loved ones. We can get overwhelmed by strong emotions sometimes. Living with loss also means living with the treasures hidden in our hearts. Happiness and suffering cannot be separated.

We will deepen our practice of mindfulness, by sitting, walking and eating meditation. There will be dharmatalks. We will share our joy and pain with each other and embrace everything that comes our way. Deep relaxation (with harp music) and singing are also part of this practice.
